우주는 네가 노No를 말하는 것이 완전히 괜찮다는 것을 알기를 좋아할 것이다. 인간들의 합창은 말하고 있는데, “오, 마이, 그건 단지 가능하지 않아. 일들이 내가 없다면 허물어질 거야! 사람들은 만약 내가 돕기 위해 거기 없다면 무엇을 할까?”라고. 그 대답으로, 너는 ‘만약...이라면 어떨까’의 큰 질문을 받고 있는데….

만약 네가 너를 위한 시간을 가진다면 어떨까?

만약 네가 너무 가늘게 몸을 스트레칭하기보다는 다시 휴식을 선택한다면 어떨까?

만약 네가 너를 불편하게 만드는 일들에 참가할 필요성을 보내는 그 선물을 너 자신에게 준다면 어떨까?

 

나의 가장 친애하는 어린이여, 너 자신에게 너 자신의 필요성을 죄책감이나 수치심이나 실망감 없이 보살피는 허락을 주어라. 너는 너 자신의 컵을 채울 가치가 있고, 그럴 자격이 있는데, 네가 가장 확실히 빈 잔으로부터 따를 수 없기 때문이다. - 창조자
